Carrie Underwood Gives Birth To Baby Boy

By :

Country singer Carrie Underwood has just welcomed a little baby boy into the world.

After a difficult year in 2018, Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, who are already parents to three-year-old son, Isaiah, said their ‘hearts are full’ with love.

They have decided to name the newborn baby boy Jacob. After giving birth on January 21, Carrie shared the news alongside an Instagram post of the smiling father two days later.

She wrote:

Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on Monday…his mom, dad and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle!

Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good…

The Jesus, Take The Wheel singer revealed she was pregnant last August in an Instagram video. The pregnancy, she explained, was the reason her Cry Pretty Tour 360 won’t kick off until May this year.

She told fans she was excited to add ‘another little fish’ to their ‘pond’:

Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond. This has been a dream come true with the album and with baby news and all that stuff.

We’re just so excited and glad you guys and can share in this and be a part of this with us.

Last September, the country superstar who rose to fame as the winner of the fourth season of American Idol in 2005 spoke frankly with CBS Sunday Morning about her pregnancies and trying to become a mother.

Underwood said she suffered three miscarriages in two years before becoming pregnant with her second child.

In the emotional interview, she recalled:

2017 just wasn’t how I imagined it. I’d kind of planned that 2017 was, you know, going to be the year that I work on new music, and I have a baby. We got pregnant early 2017, and didn’t work out.

And that was the thing, in the beginning it was like, ‘OK, God, we know this is, just wasn’t your timing. And that is all right. We will bounce back and figure our way through it.

And I got pregnant again in the spring, and it didn’t work out. Got pregnant again, early 2018. Didn’t work out. So, at that point, it was just kind of like, ‘OK, like, what’s the deal? What is all of this?’

She went onto recall how fearful she was during her pregnancy with Isiah of losing him, but Underwood said she found solace in writing new music.

She continued:

And throughout the whole process, you know, I’m writing and, like, literally right after finding out that I would lose a baby, I’d have a writing session, I’d be like, ‘Let’s go. You know, I can’t just sit around thinking about this.

Like, I wanna work, I wanna do this ’cause I would literally have these horrible things going on in my life, and then have to go smile and, like, do some interviews or, like, do a photo shoot or something, you know? So it was just kind of, like, therapeutic, I guess.

Congratulations to Carrie and Mike!
