Chris Brown, the singer accused of raping a woman in a hotel, is suing the alleged victim for defamation.

Brown, 29, stands accused of raping a 24-year-old French model in the bathroom of a hotel suite, at the five star £19,000-a-night Mandarin Oriental, Paris, on January 16.

The alleged victim told police she was raped by Brown and two other men during a drug-fuelled party at his suite a week ago.

She told French tabloid Closer she’d met Brown through a friend, who works at Crystal Lounge nightclub.

The alleged victim claimed:

This friend asked me what I was doing the next day and if I would like to meet Chris Brown. I said yes and the next day, on Tuesday, I had an appointment at 11.30pm at the Mandarin Oriental hotel to meet the rapper.

She described how they went to a nightclub before returning to Brown’s room at the hotel, where there were 15 women in the ‘chaotic’ suite where loud music was playing.

She continued:

At one point, I went to the bathroom. Chris Brown followed me and took me by the right arm. He made me enter a sort of dressing room. He closed the door.

It lasted 25 to 30 minutes. It’s still too difficult for me to explain in detail what he did, but it was brutal and violent.

He was threatening and aggressive. I was very afraid. Once it was over, he opened the door. I told him that I wanted to pick up my cell phone and go home.

The woman claims she was raped in the hotel by two more men and said she was ‘very afraid’. She says she has been left feeling ‘horrible’ and ‘lost’ since and waited two days to go to the police in Paris.

The American R&B star was arrested on Monday January 21, and released from prison on Tuesday January 22 without charge, after being held for questioning overnight following the rape accusation.

Two other men were also arrested. One is reportedly Brown’s bodyguard, but both have reportedly been released.

Brown’s lawyer, Raphael Chiche, said he vigorously denies the allegations and is planning to file a defamation lawsuit against the alleged victim, who remains unidentified for legal reasons.

Chiche said in a statement:

Chris Brown is free. No lawsuits were filed against him. He vigorously challenges the charges against him. A complaint for slanderous denunciation will be filed tomorrow with the public prosecutor of Paris.

However, according to the Paris prosecutor’s office, the investigation into the alleged incident is continuing.

Brown, of Tappahannock, Virginia, took to Instagram to slam the allegations, in a post calling the alleged victim a ‘bitch’ and claiming the accuser is lying:

The post also claimed the allegation of rape is ‘so disrespectful and is against [his] character and morals’.

The singer has faced legal trouble previously, having plead guilty in 2009 to assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna. He completed his probation in 2015.

In a documentary titled Chris Brown: Welcome to My Life, the hip-hop star, who was arrested and charged after punching his then girlfriend in 2009, described how he ‘busted her lip’.

Brown recalled how a fight began after a woman he had previously slept with turned up to a Grammy’s party in February 2009, causing Rihanna emotional distress.

Brown describes how the argument turned violent, saying:

Like I remember she tried to kick me, just like her beating shit.

But then I really hit her. With a closed fist. Like I punched her, and it busted her lip. And when I saw it I was in shock, I was ‘Fuck, why did I hit her like that?’

So from there she’s spitting blood in my face, it raised me even more. It’s a real fight in the car, and we driving in the street. I’m like ‘Yo, we tripping, what the fuck, what are we doing?’

As of 2016, due to his criminal record, Brown is banned from entering Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
