He shared the news via an Instagram post of the couple embracing one another looking like the typical happy couple.
The post was captioned: ‘Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx’.
As you can probably imagine, the Instagram post was immediately flooded with messages of congratulations from adoring fans.
After just 20 minutes, the post boasted 750 thousand likes and 30 thousand comments.
Some of the typical comments included: ‘congrats to probably the best human bean in the world !! ly xx’, ‘Awww congratulations!! so happy for you’, ‘MY BBY IS GROWINF UP AND FALLING IN LOVE IT’S WHAT HE DESEVRES’.
Yikes.

Ed and Cherry have been together for the past two years, however, they met way back at Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham.
According to Heatworld, it’s believed that Ed always had a thing for Cherry but when she left to go to university in the US, his passion for her died down a tad.
Last year Ed was asked if he thought his relationship with Cherry was marriage-worthy. He replied: ‘I’m pretty…yeah I feel pretty good about it’.
Oh, and Ed’s already admitted to ‘being inspired’ to write many of his songs by Cherry, such as Perfect. Bit cheesy.
