Ed Sheeran has announced he’s embarking on a stadium tour after closing Glastonbury Sunday night.
He starts his tour with 7 gigs in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland before moving to Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle, London and Cardiff.
The ‘Shape of You’ singer had taken to his Instagram yesterday to tease fans that he would be making the announcement Wednesday.
He wrote:
Announcing UK and Europe stadium tour tomorrow. This was the only picture I could find at short notice.
Sheeran was recently criticised on Twitter for apparently miming during his headline slot at Glasto.
Bemused viewers mistook his loop station for a backing track, much to the annoyance of Ed’s fans.
Sheeran eventually responded:
Never thought I’d have to explain it, but everything I do in my live show is live, it’s a loop station, not a backing track. Please google x.
