Eminem has served up an incredible 10-minute freestyle filmed in his old ‘stomping grounds’ in Detroit.
On Friday night, the Kamikaze MC released his Kick Off freestyle rap shot on social media saying it was inspired by his new battle rap satire film Bodied.
The marathon freestyle begins with some fight talk about how the objective of competition is to ‘obliterate’ your opponent by saying whatever gets the crowd going
Speaking about his freestyle on Twitter, Marshall Mathers wrote:
The release of BODIED has me feeling nostalgic about battle rap so I headed down to my old stomping grounds, Hit the link for 10+ minutes of it. “Kick Off” (Freestyle)
Importantly, Eminem states that nothing is off limits when it comes down to it.
Before making a load of references to the Islamic terrorist regime and spitting a few bars about Ariana Grande’s Manchester Arena attack, Em then drops some questionable lines about date rape.
Here’s the trailer for Eminem’s Bodied:
Mathers raps:
Like an Islamic regime, a jihadist extreme radical / Suicide bomber that’s seeing / Ariana Grande sing her last song of the evening / And as the audience from the damn concert is leaving / Detonates the device strapped to his abdominal region/ I’m not gonna finish that for obvious reasons.
I play for keeps, there’s no escaping me/I have a bitch scared, and chained to me, and throw away the key/And she’ll be so afraid to leave that even if she ends up breaking free, she’ll just sit there.
[…] ‘You’re close? Wait for you? What?’ My idea of you cumming, too, is waking you up with smelling salts after I Quaalude your cup/That’ll straighten you up, if you stray like a pup […]
Upon the release of Eminem’s new movie Bodied, he surprised fans in Detroit by booking out the whole cinema so fans could watch it for free.
As well as producing the film, it was rumoured that Slim Shady also worked on the official soundtrack.
The rapper used kick off to spit some expected bravado:
The bear you don’t want to poke is back, the backbone of rap / Your fucking lead singles are my bonus tracks / Since the day Dre gave me beats, I was made elite / That’s basically what makes me me / Creating stink till these tats are fading ink / Who’s the greatest? Think, we’re still debating. Wink.
Here’s the full freestyle:
The freestyle also names Justin Bieber, Snoop Dogg, and Reese Witherspoon. He describes Bieber a Catholic schoolboy turned drug dealer.
Mathers’ freestyle Kick Off has been viewed nearly one million times on YouTube and his fan have been blown away.
One wrote:
No disrespect to Drake but this freestyle has more Complexity than his career.
Impressively, the rapper included a spit and a few whoops within his bars and they fit perfectly.
Another fan wrote:
Eminem could even rhyme his spit with the bar and am here struggling to put my thoughts into words.
It’s safe to sat, he’s still got it.
