Eminem is known for dropping some hard-hitting and controversial lines into his songs.
He goes hard on whatever topic he turns his hand to, earning him legions of fans – and probably as many critics – in the process.
And his performance at the iHeart Radio Music Awards was no different. Slim Shady used his platform on the show on Sunday to slam the NRA and anti gun-law advocates in the wake of the Parkland shooting.
Sometimes I don’t know what this world has come to
It’s blowing up
This whole country is going nuts
And the NRA is in our way
They’re responsible for the whole production
They hold the strings, they control the puppet
And they threaten to take away donor bucks
So they know the government won’t do nothing
And no one’s budging
Gun owners clutching
Their loaded weapons
They love their guns more than our children

Eminem was introduced on stage by the Alex Moscou, a survivor of the Parkland shooting. Alex wore a March for Our Lives shirt while he made statements in favour of gun-control legislation.
At last year’s BET awards, Eminem absolutely skewered President Donald Trump during a freestyle that absolutely ripped Trump to shreds.
Eminem’s verbal sparring went as nuclear as Trump’s little spat with North Korean despot, Kim Jong-un:
Beginning with the ‘clam before the storm’ – a potential nod to the 45th’s threat to North Korea – Eminem then unleashed some inconvenient opinions about his presidency.
The highlights reel includes accusations of racism, with Mathers claiming: ‘Racism’s the only thing he’s fantastic for’.
The rapper added: ‘I’m throwing that piece of sh*t against the wall til it sticks.’
If all this talk of Shady has whetted your appetite for more Marshall Mathers action then you’re in luck, the rapper has announced a host of live show dates.
Since early October, Eminem – along with his manager Paul Rosenberg – has teased us with hints of how he was about to drop a new album.
Metropolis Music made the announcement on Twitter back in January:
NEW >> Global superstar @Eminem brings his Revival Tour to London this July with two dates at Twickenham Stadium.

Despite the incredible news of the tour, critics and fans haven’t been particularly enamoured with the new album Revival.
The rapper’s newest album received so much scepticism by critics and fans alike, the industry veteran decided to hit back with some lyrics (noticing a thread here?)
He hit out at fans who disagreed with his collaboration with Beyonce before saying:
B*tch suck my d*ck
Not as raw as I was; Walk on Water sucks; B*tch, suck my d*ck, Y’all saw the track list and had a fit ‘fore you heard it
So you formed your verdict while you sat with your arms crossed, Did your little reaction videos and talked over songs
Nah, dog, y’all saying I lost it, your f*cking marbles are gone
I wonder who he’ll turn his attention to next? Kim Jong-un would be fun.
