Glastonbury Could Return Next Year On One Condition

Those of you with post-Glastonbury blues may want to pay attention.

Micheal Eavis has set the rumor mill into overdrive after he revealed that Glasto’ may in fact return next year.

2018 was meant to be a fallow year – a year off to allow the grounds to recover – for the festival but that could be all set to change.

Eavis said that he was ‘already regretting’ plans to not hold the festival until 2019 but may change his mind on one single condition.

Speaking to the Guardian, Eavis said:

There’s one band I want to re-form – if they re-form, I’ll change my mind.

Now I don’t like to speculate, but my mind is now in serious overdrive!

This year’s festival drew much speculation about an Oasis reunion, as Noel and Liam were both appearing onsite – not together but still, same place, same time etc.

With both brothers having solo albums on the horizon – Liam’s ‘As You Were’ set for release in October and Noel’s High Flying Birds third album due for release in November – most fans knew this was probably unrealistic – still we dreamed.

However, if there’s one band who are totally unpredictable it’s them and with the festival being a year away – that’s enough time to do solo projects and reform, surely?

Other rumors point towards some legendary bands too.

The Smiths last played the Pyramid Stage back in 1984, but the possibility of Morrissey, Johnny Marr, Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce reforming seems pretty unlikely due to a number of reasons.

There’s bad blood between Moz and the drummer over some legal action from a few years ago and also, Morrissey wouldn’t be keen on playing a dairy farm would he?

But who else?
