#IAMWHOLE is an anti-stigma mental health campaign launched in 2016, which was developed in partnership with the NHS and YMCA.

The campaign aims to respond to mental health difficulties experienced by children and young adults. #IAMWHOLE have announced their latest fundraising event Music 4 Mental Health, and it’s set to be incredible.

Music 4 Mental Health is taking place on November 18, 2018, at London’s legendary Roundhouse venue – and I have to say, #IAMWHOLE are presenting an impressive lineup.

Jordan Stephens, one half of the bouncy duo Rizzle Kicks, was a founding ambassador of the campaign, and the performer will be making his appearance at the concert by entertaining the crowd as an MC.

Jordan explained how music can bring people together, saying:

Music is a language that everyone understands and has the power to unite people from all walks and thoughts of life.

I can already feel the conversation opening up in regards to mental health so now it’s time to take action and really help people.

With these great charities and the support of the music industry, we have a chance at doing something amazing.

The Rizzle Kicks star will be joined by singer Anne-Marie, who has recently seemed to be in almost every chart-topping song.

The pop star is 2018’s biggest-selling debut artist in the UK , and she’ll be on the Roundhouse stage on November 18.

Anne-Marie spoke about her upcoming appearance at the fundraiser and the importance of talking about mental health.

She said:

It’s so important that we all speak up on mental health. The conversation and support around it is, thankfully, growing and this fundraiser will help grow that even more. I’m proud to be performing at the Music 4 Mental Health concert in November.

While Anne-Marie and Jordan’s performances are probably enough to get people flocking to the Music 4 Mental Health concert, the #IAMWHOLE campaign have even more acts up their sleeve for the ‘stigma-smashing’ event.

The stage will also be occupied by one of Britain’s most charismatic performers  – the ever cheeky Olly Murs.

The former X-Factor contestant expressed his excitement for the show, saying:

I’m delighted to be performing at the first Mental Health charity event this November alongside Anne-Marie, raising money for three fantastic charities.

It’s important for the music industry to raise more awareness of mental health issues, and we hope this gig will help towards that.

Many more acts are yet to be announced, and if the performers they’ve already revealed are anything to go by, it’s sure to be an amazing event.

UNILAD are an official media partner for the Music 4 Mental Health fundraiser, which is also working with the UK and Ireland’s leading youth and mental health charities; the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM)The Mix, and YMCA.

The CEO of CALM, Simon Gunning, expressed the charity’s delight to be involved in the event.

He said:

As an organisation that has always worked closely with the music community, we’re delighted to be a part of Music 4 Mental Health this year.

Suicide remains the biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK, but we know that music has a power to help us through life’s low points and we’re excited to be working with some incredible artists to raise awareness of the services that are available for young people who may be struggling.

Tickets for the Music 4 Mental Health concert will go on sale in early September.
