Iggy Azalea Tried To Call Out Eminem For His ‘Lazy Bars’ And Got Absolutely Destroyed

Eminem’s latest diss track, Killshot, skewers his latest nemesis, Machine Gun Kelly, even threatening to end his career.

However – as has been particularly common with recent Em tracks – MGK isn’t the only one to receive a tongue lashing from the veteran rapper; with Slim Shady lining up and trashing a number of contemporary musicians.

With his usual ferocity, Eminem’s lyrics don’t hold back, letting the Cleveland rapper know his comments about daughter Hailie have not been forgotten:

Got more fans than you in your own city, lil’ kiddy, go play
Feel like I’m babysitting Lil Tay
Got the Diddy okay so you spent your whole day
Shootin’ a video just to fuckin’ dig your own grave
Got you at your own wake, I’m the billy goat
You ain’t never made a list next to no Biggie, no Jay
Next to Taylor Swift and that Iggy h*, you about to really blow

Kelly, they’ll be putting your name
Next to Ja, next to Benzino—die, motherfucker!
Like the last motherfucker sayin’ Hailie in vain

However, Iggy Azalea has been less than impressed by the track, and not just because it referred to her as being a ‘h*’.

The Australian songwriter feels Eminem’s latest work has been lazier than the music he churned out in his youth; becoming reliant on calling out other artists.

Taking to Twitter, Iggy said:

Diss songs shouldn’t be filled with celebrity name drops to pad out lazy bars.

Before adding:

And that’s my unbiased opinion from a girl that watched this guys set and sung the words in the crowd. I’d think it regardless.

One of the greatest to do it, I’m NOT in dispute about that. But I do think the name dropping thing has become a crotch. [sic]

Also let’s talk about why it’s lazy now; but wasn’t in the earlier work.

The earlier stuff was crazy, twisted and creative.

This stuff feels more like picking names that fit easily into a rhyme scheme.

Fuming fans didn’t take kindly to this criticism, and weren’t convinced of her ‘unbiased’ opinion.

One person responded:

I don’t think you can give an unbiased opinion on somebody name dropping you like ten minutes after they name drop you lmao [sic]

Others ripped into Iggy’s own back catalogue, noting how some of her own lyrics were a little less than inspiring:

Imagine calling Eminem’s bars lazy when the lyrics to your latest hit are ‘Ay, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it.get it, get it, get it.’

However, Iggy seemed to be relishing the controversy she caused, chuckling:

Iam beyond prepared to be trolled for this opinion. Hahahahaha. [sic]

She later added:

Hahahahaha y’all mad as f*ck! I said what I said! [sic]

And just in case we hadn’t got the message, she continued:

Iam cackling! Hahahahahaha [sic]

Do you think she has a point? Is Eminem using a ‘crotch’ or indeed a crutch?
