Singer Emma Blackery has had a loyal fan following for years through her popular YouTube channel. However, the recent Apple Event in Cupertino has catapulted her to international stardom.
While the rest of us were moaning about the price of the iPhone X, 25-year-old Emma from Essex was left in a state of delighted shock during what would turn out to be the ‘craziest night’ of her life.
The unsigned singer-songwriter’s cover art for her EP Magnetised was featured during a presentation at last night’s event.
Needless to say, she was pretty excited…
Emma, who has 1.4 million subscribers on her YouTube channel, had no clue whatsoever about her music being promoted on such an enormous platform, slap bang in the middle between No Data by Dave Jack and Green Light by Lorde.
After getting messages of love from a world full of new fans, Emma tweeted the following heartfelt message:
I wish I could stay up all night responding to all the love, but it’s bedtime in the UK! This has been one of the best nights of my life!

Overnight, the indie artist has become a household name. The fairy godmother may have swapped her trusty magic wand for an iPhone X but it’s clear dreams can come true after all.
