More than one million people have recently signed up to an event to storm top secret military base Area 51, but it seems Keanu Reeves, Lil Nas X and the gang have already beaten them to it.
Well, in cartoon form, anyway.
People from all over the world have signed up to the satirical Facebook event to raid the top-secret base in Nevada, prompting an array of hilarious memes about aliens to pop up all over social media.
Now, Lil Nas X has jumped on the viral bandwagon with his new music video for the remix of his hit track Old Town Road, featuring Young Thug, Mason Ramsey and Billy Ray Cyrus.
The spoof cartoon video sees all four of the artists, plus TheNeedleDrop critic Anthony Fantano and for some unknown reason, Keanu Reeves, storming Area 51 on horses, of course.
Young Thug and Mason Ramsey’s remix of the already hugely successful track is currently the original song’s third official remix, after versions featuring country music legend Billy Rae Cyrus and Diplo.
The latest instalment seems set to keep the song at number one, thanks to the hilarious new video published on Lil Nas X’s YouTube channel.
It begins with a panoramic shot of Area 51 with an unusual looking planet in the background, before flipping to a green and white flag with a white alien on a black background in the top left corner, referencing the long-standing conspiracy the Air Force facility is hiding information about alien technology.
The video then cuts to a ‘keep out’ sign with a robot arm sticking out of the ground and a cow with antennas instead of ears.
A security guard, who happens to be fast asleep with Minecraft and Facebook on his computer screen, then gets a text from Lil Nas X, as you do, which reads ‘we coming for you bruh.’
The security guard then falls off his chair in excitement, flicking a switch which says ‘BRUH MOMENT,’ before hanging out the window and watching all the military personnel arrive, followed by Lil Nas X, Young Thug, Mason Ramsey, Billy Rae Cyrus and Keanu Reeves, who is sprinting in true naruto-style.
The military personnel say a prayer before seemingly wetting their pants and gushing green gunge from their eyes and mouth. Makes perfect sense.
Anyway, you should probably watch the video to see what the artist reckons is inside the top-secret base.
