Kesha took to Instagram yesterday to add yet another twist to the tale of her legal struggle to break free from her Sony contract.
The singer delivered some rather surprising allegations on social media, suggesting that there were some shocking conditions as part of a potential backroom deal, regarding her freedom to record music independently.
Though she doesn’t mention which particular record label it is, it’s pretty obvious who it is to anyone who has followed this controversial case over the last few months.
She filed her lawsuit against Dr. Luke in October 2014, after accusing him of rape and abuse.
Kesha sued him, claiming sexual assault and battery, sexual harassment, gender violence, civil harassment, violation of California’s unfair business laws, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress, and negligent retention and supervision.
However, she lost her lengthy legal battle against both Dr. Luke and Sony records back in February and was told she still had to work with him on future music.
Although the legal battle has now ended, we’re sure this is not the last we will hear of this case.
