Miley Cyrus has been pictured looking extremely elegant in the first wedding photos with her parents, which have recently been revealed.
The 26-year-old singer sparked speculation she married her long-term boyfriend Liam Hemsworth on Christmas Eve, when footage of the couple emerged celebrating with friends and family.
Close friend Conrad Carr had shared a picture of the couple seemingly cutting a cake while close family and friends watched on.
The much-speculated wedding has been confirmed by not only Miley, but by her mum Trish, who posted pictures of the family on social media yesterday (December 27).
The proud mum took to Instagram to express how happy she was about the marriage, sharing two sweet photos of the day’s events.
In one, she wrote:
This makes my heart so happy ….
While the other, of Miley and her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, she simply captioned with a pink love heart:
And while now the wedding seems to be officially confirmed, for days fans were left wondering whether the couple had actually tied the knot.
The fuel that started the fire was when their friend Carr posted to his Instagram story a picture of the loved-up pair cutting what appeared to be a wedding cake.
In it, 26-year-old Miley could be seen wearing an ivory, off-the-shoulder, wedding-style dress while 28-year-old Liam stood behind her, dressed smartly in a black suit.
Both of them were standing in front of a white cake and were holding a large knife as their families surrounded them holding cameras.
Everyone’s suspicions were soon confirmed though, when Miley herself treated her fans to a sneak glimpse of her and Liam’s nuptials.
Taking to Instagram, the Party in the USA singer confirmed her marriage to Liam, posting several photos alongside sweet captions.
In one, she wrote:
This is probably our one – millionth kiss ….
She then followed up with these:
As reported by the Daily Mail, the couple exchanged vows in their home in Franklin, Tennessee – it really was a Party in the USA – contrary to initial speculation that they were planning to get married in Liam’s native Australia.
The couple first met back in 2009 and got engaged in 2012, but broke up the following year. A few years later, though, they rekindled their flame and got back together in 2016.
However, it was rumoured the pair had broken up earlier this year, following reports that the Hunger Games actor was eager to settle down and have children with Miley, but she wasn’t quite ready for that lifestyle.
According to the Daily Mail, a source close to the couple said at the time:
He wants kids and doesn’t want to keep putting it off but it’s not quite the timeline Miley had in mind… he is left heartbroken.
Miley put off plans for the wedding and Liam was growing tired of it… They haven’t been getting along in recent months.
But now the pair have dispelled those rumours for good and are more loved up than ever, proven by these adorable pictures of them tying the knot surrounded by their loved ones.
Congrats, guys!
