This has to be the most desperate way of getting out of paying for something.
Aspiring Australian Rapper Terry Peck – aka 2pec (no really that’s his name) – was brought in front of a Queensland court after skipping out on a $600AUD (£360,) restaurant bill.
Whilst you probably haven’t heard any of his music (and if were going by Oz’s most popular rapper Iggy Azalea – it’s probably shit) his bill dodging shenanigans will most likely boost his artist recognition.
The 33-year old rapper decided he’d flee the scene by sea instead of paying for his pricey bill.
However he was then hotly pursued by police, who were on jet skis, and eventually apprehended.
According to The Courier Mail, Peck was looking for a friend who had apparently gone into labour on the beach. He had every intention of paying ‘the bill if I found my wallet’ but ended up losing everything.
Furthermore he refused to apologise for skipping on the bill claiming that:
There was oyster shell in the oyster and he (a staff member) said he was going to take care of the bill … They should be apologising to me for the shell in the overpriced food.
He said he was going to get the bill … I told them to tell the chef it was overcooked.
The court was told that Peck had consumed two lobsters, a baby octopus, 21 vodka oyster shots and ‘a number of Coronas’. To which the Magistrate Court Judge, Joan White, replied ‘Oh God, by himself?’.
