Thank God it’s Friday. The weekend beckons, as does a veritable smorgasbord of new music to delight your earbuds.

Opening with Snoop, this playlist will take you on a nostalgia trip by way of Biggie, through to the very best of latest releases courtesy of Chance The Rapper and Mura Musa, with a sprinkling of the new copycat offering from tween idol, Liam Payne.

Snoop Dogg – Mount Kushmore (featuring Redman, Method Man, B-Real)

Taken from Snoop’s latest drop Neva Left, which is his 15th project overall. Mount Kushmore features Redman, Method Man & B-Real.

With Redman opening the track it gives us an early 00s vibe mixed in with some classic Snoop. The song is way too catchy to ignore.

Notorious B.I.G. – Legacy (featuring Faith Evans)

Just three days before the late Biggie’s birthday, Faith Evans has released a duet album with the man himself entitled The King & I.

Legacy is the leading track from the album; which knocks us back to 90s with a great chilled vibe. We can fully imagine ourselves playing this all summer.

Francis and The Lights – May I Have This Dance (featuring Chance The Rapper)

Last night, Chance dropped the awesome video for the remix of Francis and The Lights’ May I Have This Dance on Twitter. The video, featuring Chance stuck in a perpetual dance on a white mat, has racked up over 60,000 likes and 30,000 retweets.

Francis and The Lights are certainly killing it with the collaborations at the moment, after dropping Friends with Bon Iver and Kanye West.

Liam Payne – Strip That Down (featuring Quavo)

Another week, another former One Direction member releases new solo music. Strip That Down sounds like a bit of a Chris Brown rip-off.

The song also features a verse from Quavo, as Payne tries to prove even more that he’s a ‘hip-hop artist’. We’re unconvinced.

Katy Perry – Swish Swish (featuring Nicki Minaj)

Ahead of the release of Katy Perry’s fifth studio album Witness she has dropped single Swish Swish, featuring Nicki Minaj. It’s produced by English DJ Duke Dumont and will be performed on Saturday Night Live tomorrow.

The song sounds very typical Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj and, either we’ve heard this somewhere before, or they all just sound the same.

Plan B – In The Name of Man

Five years since his last release, Plan B has gone back to his She Said phase with new single In The Name of Man.

The mid-tempo and mellow beat gives the track a real Sunday chill vibe; the sort of song you can play around your Grandma, unlike Ill Manors.

Mura Masa – All Around The World (featuring Designer)

Move out the way Clean Bandit, 2017 is definitely the year of Mura Masa, who’s already dropped some absolute killer tracks with A$AP Rocky, NAO and Charli XCX.

This time he’s recruited Desiigner for track All Around The World. We predict it will be the song of the summer.

That should be plenty to keep your ears entertained for one week. We’ll be back with UNILAD Sound‘s New Music Alert next Friday.
