Nicki Minaj Shoots Her Shot With Michael B. Jordan On Live TV

Nicki Minaj is not one to shy away from the spotlight, so it’s no surprise she’s made headlines again after her appearance at the People’s Choice Awards.

The American rapper attended the ceremony on Sunday evening (November 11) and very publicly hit on Michael B. Jordan while accepting one of her awards.

Because what better way to let your crush know you like them than in front of an audience of celebrities, with thousands of people watching at home? To be honest, I admire her confidence.

Minaj had already mentioned another famous face (or behind) earlier in the evening, when she took to the stage to accept the award for Album of 2018 and dedicated it to Kim Kardashian’s bum, the Daily Mail reports, .

She declared:

I wanna dedicate this award to Kim Kardashian’s a** in that dress.

So it wasn’t surprising when she mentioned another celebrity, this time in her speech for Female Artist of the Year later on in the night.

She initially thanked the designer who made her outfit for the ceremony, before turning her attention to the actor Michael B. Jordan.

As she accepted her award, she said:

Shout out to Donatella Versace for custom making this outfit for me. And shout out to Michael B. Jordan cause he’s gonna be taking it off of me tonight.

Amazing – Jimmy Fallon’s reaction says it all. I don’t know anyone with that amount of sass and confidence to stand up and say that in front of literally thousands of viewers. Unless she actually is in a relationship with him and that was her way of going public with it? Who knows?

Regardless, people were shocked, taking to Twitter to express their surprise. One person wrote:

Nicki Minaj really just used her acceptance speech as an opportunity to shoot her shot with Michael B. Jordan and I respect that #PCAs [sic]

While another tweeted:

“Shoutout to Versace for specially making me this dress and shoutout to Michael B Jordan cause he’s gonna be taking it off me tonight.” – Nicki Minaj #PCAs

And another said:

WHAT NICKI SAID ABOUT MICHAEL B. JORDAN IS A WHOLE ASS MOOD #PCAs

Yet this isn’t the first time Nicki has made headlines this year. She and Cardi B have been involved in a feud for months, making it clear to fans they basically can’t stand each other.

Most recently, Cardi posted 10 – yes, TEN – videos to her Instagram account (October 29), calling out the Superbass rapper, offering to fight their issues out in person.

Since the altercation which started it all, where the two rappers got into a fight at the Harper’s Bazaar’s ICONS party, the feud has continued in the form of Twitter digs and Instagram call-outs.

The latest being Cardi’s recent posting of 10 videos, posted one after the other in fast succession, confronting Nicki about everything that’s been going on.

Throughout the (now deleted) videos, Cardi attacked Nicki for many things – including allegedly leaking her number to people who then sent abusive messages to the rapper and ‘snitching’ on her for saying she’s going to sue as a result of the altercation.

And Nicki wasn’t letting her get away with it. She’d already written and posted a response to Twitter an hour after the videos were posted.

She called Cardi out for being a ‘fkn fraud’ and told her to ‘write a rap’ instead of focusing all her energy on the ongoing feud.

She then ended by saying she wasn’t going to be ‘discussing this nonsense anymore’, tweeting:

So, who knows, maybe that’s the end of the feud and both rappers will go their separate ways and never speak of it again?

Yeah right, we’ve got more chance of a decent Brexit deal getting made…
