On the 20th anniversary of Biggie Smalls’ death, his mother spoke out about how she has ‘a very good idea who murdered’ him.

Despite numerous investigations, the Notorious B.I.G’s drive-by shooter still remains a mystery, the police have made no arrests, and his mother claims the LAPD know who is responsible.

Biggie, real name Christopher Wallace, was shot four times in a drive-by incident on March 9, 1997, after performing at the Soul Train Awards and presenting Toni Braxton with an award.

Retired detective Greg Kading who spent three years on the case was confident that Wardell Fouse (aka Darnell Bolton aka ‘Poochie’) carried out 24-year-old Biggie’s murder in return for $13,000.

Voletta said:

I have a very good idea who murdered Christopher and I genuinely believe that the LAPD know exactly who did too. As a family, we’ve collectedly grieved and it doesn’t ever get any better for us.

They’ve done their investigation, but they just refuse to move forward,” she said. “I don’t know why they haven’t arrested who was involved. It seems to me that it’s one giant conspiracy, and someone is definitely being protected somewhere down the line.

It hurts me every single day to know what happened to Christopher and that I won’t see him ever again.

Voletta co-produced the documentary about Christopher called Notorious which was released in 2009.
