Ice Cube has confirmed the news every N.W.A fan has longed to hear since the release of the movie Straight Outta Compton – the group is getting back together.

Cube confirmed that he’ll be joined on stage at Coachella 2016 by Dr Dre, MC Ren, and DJ Yella, when he appeared on possibly the least gangsta rap American talk show of all time, The Talk.

When asked about the performance, he said:

I’ve got some tricks up my sleeves – I’m gonna try to bring the members of N.W.A. together. Give everybody a little history lesson on Ice Cube and N.W.A., West Side Connection, everything I’ve been doing over the years.

And what’s even more exciting is the potential that, through the wonders of modern technology, Eazy-E may even be able to appear on stage with the group too.

Cube also hinted at that possibility by remarking that the show will include ‘some great visuals’.

Coachella has previous for enabling posthumous performances. In 2012 a Tupac hologram appeared alongside Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre.

Coachella 2016 will take place over two weekends, April 15th – 24th, with Ice Cube scheduled for sets on both Saturday nights.

We’re absolutely buzzing about this news!
