Paris Jackson Shares Rare Photo Of Brother Blanket On Christmas Day

Paris Jackson has shared a rare photo of her brother Blanket, taking to Instagram to share a snap of the siblings enjoying Christmas Day together.

Although both Paris and Prince Michael Jr have remained in the public eye, Prince Michael II, who is the youngest child of music legend Michael Jackson, has managed to stay out of the limelight despite his dad’s superstar status.

After the infamous video of Jackson dangling his newborn son wrapped in a blanket over a hotel balcony went viral, he became known as ‘Blanket’ although he’s said to be known by the name ‘BG’ or ‘Bigi’.

Only a few photos of Blanket have been made public since his dad’s death in 2009, meaning Paris’ recent Instagram snap caught the attention of many.

Captioning the photo with ‘Happy Christmas from ours to yours #brahdas’, the three siblings are joined by their close friend Omer Bhatti.

In the snap, 15-year-old Blanket can be seen still sporting his trademark long black hair, dressed in a grey Marvel t-shirt.

Although Blanket normally stays out of the news, he made headlines last month when his grandmother, Katherine Jackson, reportedly ended her custodianship of him.

According to TMZ, Katherine filed documents saying she no longer felt she had to be Blanket’s legal guardian.

In 2012 she had been appointed joint guardian, alongside their cousin TJ Jackson, of all three of Michael’s children, but cited her own age, (87) and Blanket having reached adolescence, as reasons for stepping down.

Only weeks after this report Blanket’s grandfather, Joe Jackson, took to Twitter to share a photo and video message with his grandson.

The former head of the Jackson 5 shared a snap of the two of them together captioned with the quote ‘learn the rules and break them’.

This was accompanied by a post on his website which read:

To my grandson Blanket. You are like your father in so many ways and you remind me most of him.

Enjoy life, see lots of good movies, stay healthy and remember, I do love you!

What followed was a rambling video message from the 89-year-old to Blanket in which he talks about how much the 15-year-old reminds him of Michael.

Joe said:

Hello, Blanket! This is Joe Jackson. You’re like your father. Now I understand why your father had you wear masks all the time ’cause news people was bothering him so much and he tried to disguise you as much as possible.

But I want you to stay healthy and stay off those bikes!

Don’t ride, now. But anyway, tell your brothers I said hello and stay clean and healthy and see a lot of movies if you can, good movies of course and be like me – be tough, be tough in a good way.

You’ll live a long time. Above all, I love you all. Take care, man, you be good. I’ll see you next time I come to LA. Okay? Adios.

Although the message was strange and slightly confusing, I think the heartfelt intentions are clearly there?
