Paul Rudd And Jimmy Fallon’s Shot-For-Shot Remake Of ‘You Spin Me Round’ Is Sensational

Paul Rudd and Jimmy Fallon did a shot-for-shot remake of Dead or Alive’s You Spin Me Round, and it’s incredible.

The Ant-Man star is a very talented man. As well as helping the Avengers take on Thanos, he’s appeared in big comedy movies like I Love You, Man, and been part of one of the most popular sitcoms of all time – Friends.

But one of his latest roles was a little different to many of his others, as it took him more into the world of music.

Check out the amazing video here:

The actor appeared on The Tonight Show while doing publicity for Avengers: Endgame, but rather than talk all things Marvel, Rudd spent his time doing something which, in my opinion, was much more rewarding.

Impersonating Pete Burns.

Both Rudd and Fallon, who took on the role of Steve Coy, donned big wigs as they recreated the You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) video to perfection. The result was an abundance of disco balls and hip wiggles, and even the legendary eye patch made an appearance.

I think one of my favourite moments is when Fallon waves a flag around in a very serious manner for an uncomfortably long time, while Rudd jigs about in the foreground.

I’m extremely impressed the TV show host didn’t burst out laughing while taking part in that experience.

Despite the improvements in technology we’ve had over the past couple of decades, the video kept its authentic look by appearing as if it was straight out of the 80s.

Needless to say, the fans were approving.

One impressed person commented:

this suits paul rudd a lil [sic] too well and i am 100% here for it

While another wrote:

This was so great! Their makeup and costume were on point. This video, it’s so funny!

A few people even sought to incorporate the video into Endgame, with one responding:

MCU: We need a post credit scene
Paul Rudd: yes

Of course, this isn’t the first time Rudd and Fallon have produced this kind of wholesome content.

The pair also starred in remakes of Styx’s Too Much Time on My Hands in 2016, and last year they produced their take on Go West’s King of Wishful Thinking, which had disastrous effects on Rudd’s hairline.

Let’s hope Rudd and Fallon have some more music video recreations up their sleeves, because they never fail to be hilarious!
