It’s fair to say that in recent years, R Kelly has mainly been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
A disgraced, alleged child rapist who has failed time and time again to answer any questions about the allegations.
But it seems the fading RnB singer has finally had a moment in the media that was somewhat positive, after a bizarre video emerged of him online having to prove he is 100% R Kelly, after a drunk man bet $100 that he was a fraud.
The drunk guy ran into Kellz while he was grabbing some food at a Nathan’s Famous hot dog stand in Jacksonville, Florida, saying: “That’s 100 percent not R Kelly”, while pointing to R Kelly.
So he decides to bet the singer $100 in a singing competition, to prove his authenticity.
In the clip, the RnB singer belts out the intro to his 1993 single Bump N’ Grind, to showcase his distinctive vocal style.
He then manages to hold a ridiculously high note for quite some time, but was the shirtless guy impressed? Nope, of course not- he still wasn’t convinced.
By this point R Kelly’s entourage were pretty pissed off, so the last thing they wanted to probably hear was the doubting guy have a go at singing the song himself- because simply, he was bloody awful.

It seems the man – who also refused to see an official ID from the star – only payed $15 dollars in the end, so he definitely got away with it.
