Brace yourselves, we are apparently just a few weeks away from the launch of what has the potential to be an incredible supergroup.

According to Billboard, members of Rage Against The Machine, Cypress Hill, and Public Enemy are set to reveal their new project in early June.

Sadly RATM frontman Zack de la Rocha will not be lending his vocals to the new band, but Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk will all be involved.

They will be joined by Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Cypress Hill star B-Real to complete the new group.

Together they will form Prophets of Rage – a reference to Public Enemy’s track by the same name from 1988’s ‘It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back’.

Rumours had initially circulated that Rage were reforming after they launched a website which included a countdown to June 1, and posters appeared across their native Los Angeles which included the message #TakeThePowerBack.

Prophets are set to perform their first show on June 3 at the Hollywood Palladium, with a summer tour allegedly also on the cards.

With Donald Trump still in the running to become commander-in-chief the combination of these politically minded renegades could not be better timed.
