GettyUnless you’ve been living under a rock for the past two decades, you’ll be aware of the 2003 sex tape which propelled Kim Kardashian into the limelight when it leaked.
She and her then boyfriend, Ray J, real name William Ray Norwood Jr, filmed the tape together while they were in a relationship but it got leaked to the public four years later in 2007.
That same year, Keeping Up With The Kardashians aired for the first time and life as we knew it has never been the same. Dramatic, I know, but when you can’t go a single day without hearing about the family, I think it’s a fair statement to make.
Since them, Kim hasn’t looked back and you could say she’s done pretty well for herself – she’s got a hugely successful career, her net worth currently sits at $350 million, and she’s got an adorable family with husband Kanye West.
What more could a woman want?
But it seems Ray J, 37, still has something to say on the matter because he’s been talking about his role in the infamous tape only recently.
The American singer has said he has ‘no regrets’ about the tape, which according to The Independent was the most watched video on Pornhub in 2014, with over 93 million views.

I don’t regret anything I’ve done. Not even the sex tape, it’s shaped me into the person I am today and helped me find The One.
Ray J has been known to talk quite publicly about the tape in the past, releasing his song I Hit It First back in 2013, which included lyrics such as ‘she might move on to rappers and ballplayers, but we all know I hit it first’.
Clearly intended as a dig at Kanye, it seemed as though the singer just wanted to stir things up as much as possible. However, now that he himself is a family man, it would appear that his attitudes have changed.
He went on to say:
The old me had a lot of different things to say, but now when somebody asks me about the sex tape I realise I have to do better.
When you’re blessed with someone who loves you, and that’s [wife] Princess, you have to do whatever you can to treat her with respect and keep her.
The singer married Princess Love back in 2016, and the couple now have a baby girl, Melody, who was born in May this year.
And Ray J is continuing to dispel any rumours of ‘beef’ with the Kardashian-West clan, stating that his attitudes have changed massively over the past couple of years.
GettySpeaking to Bang Showbiz, Ray J admitted the tape was ‘a little much’:
I don’t look back on it. I only look forward. I got the baby, I got the wife, I gotta look at them and look forward to things that are positive.
The tape was just a little much and you know, that was the old Ray J, and even the old Ray J would respond different. He might have said some crazy sh*t about it and responded different but now y’know I’m much more mature. I have a lot more respect just for this industry and women alone.
Who knows, maybe he and Kanye can even make amends and be best mates in a couple of years? Yeah, okay, maybe not…
