For a lot of us, going home to visit your parents is a time to unwind, throw on some comfortable clothes, eat everything in the fridge and not worry about your appearance.

It’s a magical time where you can forget your adult responsibilities for a while, laze about on the sofa and generally revert back to being a kid for a bit. Until your parents tell you to get off your bum and do something, that is.

And while some of us may share our trip home with a picturesque photo of the countryside or your hometown, we don’t have 64.3 million followers to share it with.

Rihanna, on other hand, does. She’s shared some photos of her recent trip home to visit her parents in Barbados, and fans are loving it.

Taking a break from her usual, highly stylised Instagram posts, where we usually see the singer dressed in some amazing outfit for a show, campaign, or a night out, Riri took a few home snaps of her and her parents, showcasing a personal, refreshing vibe we’ve not seen from her before.

Rhianna has been busy lately, reportedly filming Hiro Murai’s new movie Guava Island, alongside Donald Glover, in Cuba.

The singer and actress took to Instagram to post a few pics of her much-needed time at home with her parents.

However, fans were quick to notice – and compliment – Rihanna’s make-up free, unadorned photos.

Nice!!! Enjoy every moment. Life is all about family at the end of the day no matter what. So beautiful.

Since starring in this year’s Ocean’s 8, Rihanna has been spending time in Cuba, working with Donald Glover, director Hiro Murai and the team behind the series Atlanta.

The project is still shrouded in mystery, however, some people believe it’s a new film, while others suspect it’s an ambitious music video.

Rhianna’s ninth studio album is expected to drop this autumn, so it could make sense that it’s a music project, which also suggests Donald Glover is involved under his Childish Gambino moniker.

However, as IndieWire reports, the film team have spent a large portion of the summer in Cuba already, suggesting the project is much bigger than a music video, which normally take days or weeks, rather than months.

Rihanna’s last album was 2016’s Anti, which went platinum just two days after it was released,, thanks to a clever marketing campaign in which the singer partnered with Samsung, who bought one million copies of the album in advance, before giving them away as a free download.

Although she hasn’t released any new music just yet, Rihanna has teased fans by, again, posting on Instagram, glimpses of herself in the recording studio.

Whatever she’s up to, new albums or movies, it seems Rihanna is going to be even busier in the near future.
