Students in Virginia were sensationally conned into signing a petition to ban the popular song, ‘White Christmas’, after being told it was racist.
They were duped on camera, with the Bing Crosby song used as bait, as Dan Joseph went round the campus telling them that they should help get the song banned.
He told the students that Crosby’s lyrics ‘ignored other kinds of snow’ and tried to enforce the idea that ‘white is naturally good’.
Alarmingly, a huge portion of the students didn’t even question him, and by the end of the day, the petition had dozens of signatures on it.
Hilariously he tells them that the best Christmas song is actually Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, because that song promotes disability and is sung about an animal who is different and has a red nose.
Incredible scenes.
