A Facebook event has been created intending to break the convicted rapper Tekashi69 out of prison.
At the time of writing (December 3), more than 13,000 people are ‘going’ to the event, while another 13,000 are ‘interested’.
In October, the rapper was sentenced to four years probation in a child sex case, with the requirements he perform 1,000 hours of community service and avoid all gang activity.
However, in November this year, it was found Tekashi69 – real name Daniel Hernandez – had breached the conditions of his probation, and was arrested on racketeering charges by agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
Racketeering is the involvement in fraudulent and dishonest business dealing. The arrest was part of a joint investigation between Homeland Security Investigations and the New York City Police Department.
The rapper pleaded not guilty to the charges. However, due to his probation terms, he was denied bail and will therefore remain behind bars until the date of his trial, which was set for September 4, 2019.
