The 999 call made by George Michael’s lover has been leaked and revealed his desperate struggle to try and resuscitate the Faith singer.
43-year-old Fadi Fawaz can be heard telling the emergency call handler he’d tried to wake George Michael up and that the star had turned blue.
During the frantic call the handler can be heard asking Fadi whether Mr Michael is still breathing and in his shocked state Fadi stumbles that he’s not.
Fadi explains:
He’s cold and he’s blue… yes, he’s very stiff. He’s dead… he’s dead.
When the operator asks if George is beyond help Fadi explained that he’d spent nearly an hour trying to revive him.
Fadi says:
No, no, no, no, no, no, I’ve been waiting for him to wake him up for like, you know, for hours and he wouldn’t wake up, I went to wake him up and he was gone, you know, he’s not there.
The handler tells Fadi that an ambulance is on its way and that he shouldn’t move the body before it arrives.
George Michael passed away on Christmas Day and police are now investigating what happened to Mr Michael that evening.
Fadi had been George’s partner for several years and paid tribute to his lover on Twitter posting that he’ll never forget finding George dead in bed and that he’ll never stop missing the former Wham! star.
A coroner is awaiting the results of a number of toxicology tests to determine whether George had taken drugs on the night he died.
