In one of the weirdest music stories you’ll see this week, it turns out Adele gets wheeled around in a small box before she starts a gig.
Understandably, you’re probably thinking right now, ‘why the fuck does she do that?’
Well, apparently the Grammy award winner uses it on tour to remain undetected as she makes her way through the audience and under the stage. Which kind of makes sense.
She is flanked by a large security team as she’s rolled past in a black box on wheels, with her audience none the wiser as she plays ‘with an iPad’ to keep her entertained.
A source told The Sun:
Adele sits in the box for several minutes as she is taken from her dressing room right to the centre of the crowd.
Most of her fans are already seated and just presume it’s a piece of kit they are moving but some have been told by staff at venues that actually it’s their idol and a woman worth £85million sitting in a pretty small box a few feet from them.
They went on to say that a few have worked it out, as her personal security Peter Van Der Deer always accompanies the box on its journey.
Adele has also hinted at the rather unorthodox transport method before, joking with fans: “How I get to and from this stage makes me so sweaty, I’m drenched. I can’t tell you til the end – you’ll laugh when you find out.”
Well she’s not wrong there, that’s some crazy shit.
