If you missed the game changing news from yesterday, Canadian pop irritant Justin Bieber has only gone a got a new tattoo – on his face.
Much like Directioners did when it appeared that Zayn Malik had got some facial ink, the infamously unhinged Beliebers absolutely lost their shit when they spotted the tiny tattoo on their beloved Biebs’ cheek.
Bieber has been showing off the tiny tear-like mark next to his left eye in his recent Instagram posts, after he got it done recently at the West 4th Tattoo Parlorin New York by renowned tattoo artist Jon Boy.
A lot of people – including us – were quick to question what the ink might symbolise for Justin. After all, tear tattoos in that place tend to symbolise the fact that the person has murdered somebody or that they’ve served time in prison.
However, for those guessing that the tattoo might represent Bieber’s crimes against music, the symbolism behind the dodgy ink is actually a lot more straightforward, apparently.
Speaking to Us Weekly, JonBoy, the tattoo artist and owner of the shop, explained:
Justin came in last night and decided on a small cross near the corner of his eye. It represents his journey in finding purpose with God.
So, there you have it. If it is shaped like a cross (it’s really difficult to tell, given how minuscule the thing is), then it kind of makes sense.
Still, considering that Bieber previously claimed that he would only get a facial tattoo when he was middle aged, we have to ask – WHAT DOES GOD MAKE OF YOUR LIES, JUSTIN?
