The rapper Tyga is no stranger to controversy, but yesterday he managed to piss off the whole of Twitter by tweeting pictures of himself and Tupac and tagging them ‘Dad.’
Tyga, real name Micheal Ray Stevenson, went on to explain that he didn’t mean it literally, it’s just that as his biological dad is serving a life sentence in prison it was Tupac who served as a father figure and inspired him to become a successful musician.

Despite the surprisingly touching story, Twitter wasn’t having it and came down hard on the rapper, though a few commenters just seemed annoyed at him for wearing a Duke basketball jersey more than anything else.
Pac taught me a lot more than my own father. Inspired me, Motivated Me, Listened without ever being there.

But at least one person was on Tyga’s side.

Thankfully Tyga took the high road and didn’t directly respond to anybody, but the internet’s still pretty pissed off and the hate probably won’t be slowing down anytime soon.
More of a concept than a journalist, Tom Percival was forged in the bowels of Salford University from which he emerged grasping a Masters in journalism.
Since then his rise has been described by himself as ‘meteoric’ rising to the esteemed rank of Social Editor at UNILAD as well as working at the BBC, Manchester Evening News, and ITV.
He credits his success to three core techniques, name repetition, personality mirroring, and never breaking off a handshake.
