Clearly you can have too much of Ed Sheeran, as one woman found out when she played his new song on repeat and ended up in jail…
It seems not everyone is a fan of Ed’s catchy new tune Shape of You, but then perhaps if you had it played repeatedly on loudpseaker, then it might be enough to push you over the edge too…
That’s certainly how Clare Tidmarsh felt anyway, when her neighbour insisted on playing the track, solidly, at full volume, for half an hour.
Mrs Tidmarsh felt it was ‘the straw that broke the camel’s back,’ after the mum-of-three would not stop playing Ed’s latest track, in Howe Crescent, Willenhall.
The bizarre case went to court and Judge Philip Gregory said it was an ‘wholly unacceptable level of disturbance through loud noise involving music, shouting, swearing and banging – time and time again – emanating from Miss Bryce’s home.’
This is apparently not the first time Bryce has been found guilty of causing a ‘disturbance’ with her music choice and had been given a court order, banning her from creating a ‘noise annoyance’.
Once again, a fan of playing loud music, Bryce breached the terms and landed herself a six-week jail sentence earlier this year.
After her release last month, it seems Bryce was straight back to her annoying music playing ways and this time, it was Ed’s track she used to ‘torture’ her neighbours.
Following a bit of a battle in court, Bryce has now been jailed for eight weeks, after the judge found her guilty of anti-social behaviour once more.
Here’s the song if you needed a reminder of what it sounds like:
Oh dear, it seems some people aren’t as much of a fan of the Sheeran as others clearly are…
It is a great song, but you would probably have had enough of it after listening to it through your neighbour’s wall on repeat…
I guess his music isn’t for everyone…
