The news keeps on getting better and better for Potter fans, first a play, then a new book and now a whole new trilogy of films!
In case you hadn’t already heard, J.K. Rowling wrote the script for the film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and fans are waiting with baited breath for the upcoming prequel to the Harry Potter universe, Business Insider reports.
But on Monday the magical news broke that Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them won’t just be one film, it will be the first in a trilogy about magizoologist Newt Scamander.
The news came from a tweet Rowling wrote to fans on Monday, that the London play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will not be a movie, but that ‘Fantastic Beasts will be three movies.’
Of course fans reacted calmly to the news.
The announcement’s left fans wondering where else in the wizarding world Scamander could get to. We know first movie will take place in New York City in 1926, which sounds amazing.
However some fans are speculating that recently released information on Pottermore about wizarding schools around the world could be a hint about where Scamander will go in the upcoming films.
This is brilliant news I need more wizarding action in my life…
