Two young joggers got the fright of their lives when they ran into a knife wielding clown deep in woods.
The pair were chased through the forest by the hateful harlequin after they spotted spotted the creepy clown walking across a bridge while out for a run on Saturday morning.
The joggers, Chase Prior and his friend Patrick Williams, bravely confronted the clown asking what the fuck he was doing out at 7.30am in the morning dressed as a clown, The Daily Star reports.
After an odd standoff the boys notice that the clown appears to be holding a knife and do the sensible thing and run away as fast as they can, escaping his white gloves of doom.
Not to cast doubt on the boy’s story but I can’t help but think it’s a bit fishy they just so happened to be filming themselves when they bumped into a monstrous clown, but maybe they got lucky.
Regardless of my wild theories, the frightening footage has caused a storm online getting an incredible 14 million views in just 48 hours.
Chase wrote on Facebook:
Well, this morning I had a rather traumatising experience.
I woke up early to go running with Patrick Williams and we parked by the YMCA to hit the bike path leading toward 21st Street and eventually out toward Evans.
Ironically, my friend Zane and I had just been discussing supposed sightings of clowns around the 21st Street / 16 intersection.
We had no idea this would happen when we started our run.
Across the U.S. there’s been a spate of creepy clown related incidents and at least a dozen people have been arrested so far for their part in the stunt.
In September schools in New York, Maryland and Pennsylvania were shut down after clowns reportedly tried to lure children into the woods.
Lets hope that the clowns don’t make their way across the pond to Blighty any time soon…
