Shots were fired on the set of Tekashi69 and 50 Cent’s music video set.

Witnesses have said that the rappers were on the set of their music video for the song Get The Strap in New York at around 10.30pm on Tuesday (August 14).

Brooklyn rappers Casanova and Uncle Murda were also on set, which was near the Greenpoint waterfront on Noble Street.

TMZ reports a white Porsche with New Jersey license plates turned up at the filming, and fired at least 11 gun shots.

Thankfully, no one was injured during the attack.

Bullet casings found at the scene suggest the shooter used a 9 mm semi-automatic weapon.

Sources connected to rapper Tekashi69 don’t think the shooter was targeting Tekashi or 50 Cent, but police aren’t certain whether this is the case.

Just went to court. It was good.

In 2015, Tekashi pleaded guilty to using a child in a sexual performance, after he posted a video online involving a 13-year-old girl.

The rapper was on probation, where he was ordered to not commit another crime for two years, but broke the terms by getting arrested twice.

In May, he was arrested for unlicensed driving and the alleged assault of a police officer.

In January, 6IX9INE was due to appear in court for a case in which he’s accused of choking a 16-year-old in a shopping mall. He did not turn up to the hearing, and so was arrested in July.

Tekashi could be facing up to three years in jail for his actions.

In July, the 22-year-old was also reportedly kidnapped from outside his house, attacked and robbed. The rapper was coming home after working on another music video in Brooklyn when another car appeared and blocked his driveway.

With the timing of the attack coinciding with the release of his track FeFe with Nicki Minaj, he was accused of staging the kidnapping by many online.

Men with guns are said to have knocked him unconscious before entering his home and stealing $750,000 worth of jewellery and $15,000-$20,000 in cash.

The Brooklyn rapper said he suffered concussion from the attack, and said he was ‘just happy to be alive’.

NME reported the rapper later posted to Instagram, writing:

Yesterday morning I had a feeling that it was my day to die. May GOD strike me dead if I’m lying. Everything happens for a reason. I know you was there. Nothing materialistic is more important then LIFE.

A surveillance video of yesterday’s shooting is being reviewed by police, but no one has been taken into custody as of yet.
