72 firefighters are reportedly on the scene of a fire at an east London block of flats.
As reported by The Independent and confirmed by the London Fire Brigade, the flats are located in Bethnal Green.
The cause is unknown but an entire apartment was ablaze along with the building’s roof also catching fire.

London Fire Brigade said:
Ten fire engines and 72 firefighters and officers are tackling a flat fire on Turin Street in Bethnal Green.
The whole of a flat on the third floor and roof is also alight. The brigade’s 999 control took nearly 50 calls.
The brigade was called at 1625. Firefighters from Bethnal Green and surrounding fire stations are attending the scene. The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.

So far one person has been treated for smoke inhalation.
