A man chopped off his wife’s head and walked down the street carrying it.

Ram Chavan, 60, is believed to have discovered his wife had been cheating on him, and murdered her.

He used an axe to decapitate his 55-year-old wife, going on to pick up her remains and put them outside.

He casually walked down the street in Pune, near Mumbai, India, carrying her head, much to the horror of onlookers.

Police have arrested the man and an investigation is ongoing.
