A 22-year-old pizza delivery guy has taken to YouTube, posting an emotionally charged response to a random act of kindness that has changed his life.

Jeff Louis, who works for Gionino’s pizza shop in Mentor, Ohio, was called in early to work to take a special delivery to the congregation of Life Point Church where Pastor Ken Wright had an idea for the random delivery guy who was about to walk through the door.

According to the Pastor, the original plan was to tip him $100, but what happened next was so much bigger than planned, and meant much more to Jeff than anyone could have imagined.

In an emotional message posted to YouTube, Jeff wells up as he relates his story:

You know, the most amazing thing happened. This whole church came up and gave me over $700 for a tip! You know it was spontaneous. It just happened. They started lining up one by one with their own cash tips.

The truly astonishing thing about the gesture is that no one in the church could have known what Jeff had just been through. Wiping away tears, Jeff continues:

I’ve been having such a hard time lately, just struggling to stay clean and everything and i’m just trying to get my life back. It really truly amazes me that people who don’t even know me just wanted to help me out that much.

There is no telling how many people have been inspired by what started out as a small act of kindness, but Jeff’s message has now been viewed more than 50,000 times.

A truly heartwarming tale, best of luck with everything Jeff, you deserve it.
