A bar based on the Birmingham criminal gang and TV series Peaky Blinders is opening soon – and anybody wearing a flat cap will get a free shot.
Peaky Blinders Bar and Grill, which is owned by Jamie Devon, will be opening in Winner Street, Paignton in Devon.
Jamie told Caterlyst visitors donning a flatcap will be entitled to a free shot.
According to the article, Jamie’s grandfather was a Peaky Blinder, part of the criminal gang based in Birmingham during the 19th and 20th centuries.
The past nine months have been spent renovating the bar, creating a 1920s-style interior with bespoke furniture.
According to Caterlyst, the menu will focus on rotisserie chicken dishes, and to fit in with the theme the bar will serve a lot of whisky – one of which will be 45% proof.
And, even better, Peaky Blinders will also be a music venue, with new acts every night of the week.
There is already a Peaky Blinders bar and hotel in Southport and The Tick Tack Club in London was a temporary bar based around the gang which sold out its nine months of being open.
Peaky Blinders will open in Paignton, Devon on September 16.
Cheers!
