A Popular TV Show Has Revealed Its ‘Dick Of The Year’

All polls are closed, the votes are counted and the official winner of the ‘Dick of the Year’ competition has been announced…

Viewers of Channel 4’s comedy current affairs show The Last Leg have followed their hearts and voted everyone’s least favourite Tory Minister (and that is one crowded field) Jeremy Hunt ‘Dick of the Year’.

In honour of the Health Secretary’s stellar achievement – and with #DickHunt trending hard –  a piñata of his likeness was then beaten to a pulp.

Host Adam Hills said:

Are you watching this Jeremy Hunt? You said yesterday you’re launching an enquiry into why morale is so low amongst NHS junior Doctors.

Are you kidding me?! That’s like Harold Shipman launching an investigation into patient mortality rates.

To celebrate further they even created a game where you can bugle Hunt to your heart’s content.

Other contenders for the title were presidential hopeful Donald Trump, who came second, chronic douche-bag Martin Shkreli, and murderous cretin Walter Palmer, killer of Cecil the Lion, reports the Huffington Post.

The award has also prompted James Blunt to make what could be his best and funniest contribution to popular culture to date:

The win comes after the already unpopular Hunt announced that he will force a contract on junior doctors after negotiations between the British Medical Association (BMA) and the government fell through.

The contracts would see junior doctors expected to work longer hours for less money, reportedly dragging their wage down to under £8 per hour and earning them less than shop-floor employees in some supermarkets.

Both Royal colleges and unions have expressed dismay at the Health Secretary’s move, which comes after weeks of deadlock.

The British Medical Association (BMA) said it would ‘consider all options’, raising the possibility of further strikes in the battle over pay and conditions.
