Gunshots have been reportedly fired near the YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, California.
Police and ambulance crews are currently at the scene investigating the shooting. Police have also urged people to stay out of the area.

One man has posted to Twitter texts which he claims are from a friend in the building:
My friend at @Google @YouTube in San Bruno says there's an active shooter on campus.

As you can see, the tweets, if true, claim there to be an active shooter in the building and cops on site.
The texts also claim that two people have been shot and other people are hiding in lockdown in the building.

YouTube owner, Google, has confirmed they are investigating a shooting at the HQ.
Speaking to local TV in the area, a police official claimed that there had been multiple 911 calls.
Another YouTube employee, Vadim Lavrusik, tweeted that there was an active shooter in the building and that he was barricaded inside a room.
Active shooter at YouTube HQ. Heard shots and saw people running while at my desk. Now barricaded inside a room with coworkers.

He followed up the tweet saying he had been safely evacuated:

San Bruno Police released a statement on the matter, claiming:
We are working in an active investigation at YouTube. We’re asking that you just follow us on social media for any updates.
The massive San Bruno YouTube HQ is home to 1,700 employees.
