20 Century FoxActor John Heard, known for dozens of huge 80s and 90s movies, has died aged 72.
According to TMZ, Heard had ‘minor back surgery’ on Wednesday at Stanford Medical Center and was staying at a nearby hotel in Palo Alto, California to recover.
Maids at the hotel found Heard unresponsive in his room and called the emergency services who pronounced him dead at the scene, according to his family.
GettyHeard was probably best for his role as Peter McCallister, Kevin’s dad in Home Alone however he also had roles in Gladiator, Miami Vice, The Sopranos, and even the first Sharknado movie.
Heard’s cause of death remains unknown in these early stages.
