Adele Turned Up To The Grenfell Tower Block To Comfort Victims

Adele has always come across as one of those rare breed’s of celebrity, who are seemingly down to earth.

Her Glasto headline slot, breaking her Grammy in half to share with Beyonce, her endless swearing at award shows, but yesterday, she proved what a kind-hearted person she really is.

After the tragic events at Grenfell Tower, the superstar turned up to offer comfort and support to victims.

Less than 24 hours after the horrific fire, London-native Adele made an appearance at the vigil that was being held for victims and survivors, reports the Daily Mail.

Those who were present took to social media to share pictures and news of the Tottenham-star, who was ‘hugging and comforting’ people.

12 people have died so far, but Scotland Yard have stated that they expect the death toll to rise, with some suggesting that it could reach over 50.

The star’s home city was the target of a terror attack in March, when five people were killed and another 40 injured in Westminster.

Adele was on tour at the time but told the crowd that night:

Today there was a terror attack in my hometown of London.

I’m literally on the other side of the world and I want them to see our lights and to hear us.

It’s very strange not being home, all I want to do today is be at home with my friends and family.

A host of celebrities have been throwing their support behind the massive operation to help support, house and donate to those left homeless in the terror, including Rita Ora and Noel Clarke.

It is not confirmed yet as to what started the fire.
