Adidas have engineered their classic München trainer and made it both beer and ‘puke’ repellent – perfect for those heading to Oktoberfest.
For those who have managed to escape any knowledge of what Oktoberfest is, well, it’s a huge annual folk festival in Munich – (but cities around the UK are holding their own versions too).
This year, it will run from the 16th September to the 3rd October, with more than six million people from around the world attending – and, as always, there’s a lot of beer involved.
So to combat the obvious implications of excessive alcohol consumption, Adidas have stepped in and made the perfect pair of sneakers for the occasion.
Not only are they alcohol and vomit repellent, they represent Oktoberfest in the smaller details too.
The colours are inspired by traditional German lederhosen, with charcoal grey suede upper, tan leather heel, a white midsole, white embroidery at the heel and the word ‘prost’ – which means ‘cheers’ in German – printed above the three stripes.
They also feature woven laces and a red and white check – tablecloth-inspired – inner lining, nice.
