Truth-seekers and UFOlogists everywhere have flocked to the website to dissect the exponential growth of America’s mysterious military base; the suspected location of the States’ top secret alien investigations in Nevada.
The images, captured annually since 1984 are a sight to behold.
The Google Earth engine stitches together 33 separate images taken on clear days throughout each year to form an accurate picture of anywhere in the world; no exceptions, not even for the government imposed 25 mile no-fly zone surrounding the barren land.
Area 51, which sits between a dry lake bed and a small mountain, is shrouded in secrecy; here, the U-2 spy plane, SR-71 Blackbird and the F-117A Nighthawk stealth fighter were all built for war.
But according to conspiracy theorists and alien investigators, Area 51 is also the source of American communication with extra terrestrials.

The base has visibly expanded and over the past three decades. The original runway was widened and a larger, second runway was built alongside construction at the north of the base. Invisible to the naked eye – and Google Earth – is the excavation into the mountainside.
