Getty / TwitterIn the wake of a series of deadly terror attacks across the globe, Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport is on lockdown after a passenger attempted to hijack a plane.
The outgoing plane, Malaysian Airlines flight MH128, from Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur at 11:11pm (12:11GMT), was just minutes into the flight when a passenger claimed he had explosives and tried to break into the cockpit before allegedly threatening to blow himself up.
A group of incredibly brave passengers were able to hold the man down before the pilot turned the flight around and headed back to Melbourne Tullamarine, reports News.com.

A woman whose boyfriend, Andrew, was on the plane told radio station 3AW:
He was the one who first confronted him when an air hostess was getting scared of this guy and that’s when the guy said ‘I’m going to blow up this plane’.
All flights due to leave the airport have been delayed and incoming flights have been redirected.
