Alec Baldwin Mocks Trump In Seriously Controversial SNL Sketch

As we move into the final days of the U.S. Presidential election or to give it its proper title ‘Race to the Bottom 2016’, Saturday Night Live has taken one last opportunity to poke fun at both the candidates.

This time they targeted Hilary Clinton and her ongoing e-mail scandal, mocking her plummeting poll numbers while also lampooning the fact that scandals don’t seem to affect Trump.

In a series of vignettes Trump, played once again by Alec Baldwin, kisses the FBI, Vladimir Putin and even a KKK member while CNN host Erin Burnett (Cecily Strong) keeps the conversation focused on Kate McKinnon’s Clinton.

If we don’t sound that enthused with the sketch so far that’s because we’re not, this whole election has been a colossal farce on both sides, but things take an uplifting turn in the second half.

Both Baldwin and McKinnon break character to comment on how ugly this whole affair has been and rather than finish the sketch they run out hand in hand to Times Square.

The two eventually returned to the the studio and implored the audience to go out and vote.

Now it’s time to get out there and vote. None of this will have mattered if you don’t vote.

And we can’t tell you who to vote for but on Tuesday we all get a chance to choose what kind of country we want to live in.

For those who are big fans of SNL  there’ll be an election special this Monday – the SNL Election Special – which will showcase this season’s Trump/Clinton sketches, plus previous appearances by idiotic duo.
