Over 20,000 people took to the historic streets of Birmingham, Alabama over the weekend with a simple message; ‘All lives matter’.
Walking along the renowned civil rights route from Kelly Ingram Park to Birmingham City Hall, pro-unity chants were bellowed out by those present.
The march was led by American talk-show host Glenn Beck, and attracted hordes of participants, including none other than the legend himself; Chuck Norris.
Organised by Beck as part of his “Never Again is Now” campaign, the walk was followed by a “Restoring Unity” rally with tickets costing $12, and proceeds going towards aiding persecuted Christians in the Middle East.
Marchers are reported to have included men and women from as far afield as China, Dubai and the Netherlands.
Given all the negative headlines that have poured out of the U.S in recent weeks it is refreshing to see a positive story emerge. Nice one guys!
