Amanda Nunes has revealed exactly what she said to Ronda Rousey in the aftermath of her crushing victory over the former champ.
Last night’s main event at UFC 207 saw Nunes defeat Rousey – stepping into the Octagon for the first time in 13 months – in just 48 seconds.
And the victorious Brazilian fighter has now revealed exactly what she said to Rousey following her impressive victory, reports MMA Fighting.
She said:
I told her: “You did a lot for the sport. You did a lot, but now you can take time and do something else. You don’t need to keep doing that (sic).”
However, speaking at the post-fight press conference, Nunes seemed to be in no doubt about what her opponent’s next move should be, saying Rousey ‘has to retire’.

She said:
She is a millionaire already why would she want to keep doing that? Why would she want to keep getting hurt.
Nunes also explained her actions towards Rousey’s corner – specifically coach Edmond Tarverdyan – following the fight.
She revealed she was laying some of the blame for her opponent’s defeat firmly at her coach’s feet.
According to Nunes, Tarverdyan convinced Rousey she was a capable boxer, in the process losing sight of her true strength – her judo skills.
Audio has emerged revealing exactly what Tarverdyan was saying to Rousey throughout the – admittedly short-lived – fight.
Whatever comes next for Ronda Rousey, there’s no doubting the fact that she’s been an exceptional figurehead in the UFC and her contribution to the development of the sport for women will be long remembered.
