The Lonely Island and former SNL star used a video segment to give a nod to the hordes of unsuccessful nominees for playing their part.
But he did so with a twist.

In the finale of the seven series hit, advertising mogul Don Draper, played by Jon Hamm, has escaped the rat race. Whilst meditating and contemplating his role in the world a moment of brilliance strikes and the iconic Coke ad of 1971 is born.

The song applied to certain members of the audience more so than others as Amy Poehler, who plays the hilarious Leslie Knope in Parks and Recreation, missed out yet again on the award.
And because the show has finished her performance in the Parks and Rec will never be recognised by the Emmys. She took it in her stride though.
