In an inspired move, a group with ties to web hackers Anonymous has infiltrated an Isis supporting website and posted an advert for an online pharmacy selling Viagra.
Since Anonymous launched their campaign against Isis, the organisation have been moving onto the dark web in an attempt to hide their activities. But a hacking group called Ghost Sec – related to Anonymous – closed the site replacing it with a message stating there was “Too Much ISIS”.
The full message reads:
Enhance your calm, too many people are into this ISIS-stuff. Please gaze upon this lovely ad so we can upgrade our infrastructure to give you ISIS content you all so desperately crave.
The accompanying ad linked to an online bitcoin pharmacy which seems to be hosted by the hacking group. The link allows people to click through and buy online prescription drugs, including Prozac and Viagra.
Before the site was taken down, it was understood to be sharing and copying Isis propaganda so that it could avoid detection however it is unclear how closely associated the site and the group are. According to security blogger Scot Terban, many such unofficial sites have been created on the dark web but a large number of them seem to be unofficial and poorly organised.
Nice work from Ghost Sec, I would say keep it up, but the Viagra should have that covered.
